What This Privacy Policy Covers
This policy covers how Gradkin treats personal information that Gradkin receives and collects. Personal information refers to information that can be used to identify you such as your name, address, phone number, email, employment etc, which are generally not publicly available.
Gradkin collects information to conduct business with you. We will only collect information by lawful and fair means and not in an intrusive manner. We take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information we process is accurate, complete and current but we depend on our users to update or correct their personal information whenever necessary.Information Collection and Use
- Gradkin collects personal information when you sign up for our service either as a Candidate or Employer.
- When you register as a Candidate, we ask you for your name, email address, password, language, time zone, gender, university, current status and year of graduation if applicable.
We will only use your date of birth and gender for internal, analytical and statistical purposes.
If you register as a Candidate, you will be taken to have agreed in full to our Privacy Policy on completion of registration with the Website. You accept that all information you provide us with is provided voluntarily, including personal information which is considered ‘sensitive’ by applicable law (for example ethnicity, gender, religion). You consent to the processing of your personal information by us in line with this Privacy Policy. You can withdraw your consent at any time by closing or deactivating your account with us.
- When you register as an Employer we ask you for your company name, email address, password, language, time zone, description, specialty and industry.
- Gradkin collects information from you so that we may provide matching services to our customers (Employers ) and users (Candidates), operate our business as it pertains to you, improve our products and services, contact you, conduct financial transactions with you, market our services to you, fulfill legal and regulatory obligations, as well as provide anonymous reporting to our internal and external clients.
Information sharing and disclosure
- Kintuition does not rent or sell personal information about you to other people or third parties. In order to facilitate appropriate career matches, your personal information and Live Candidate Profile may be shared with Employers at your discretion. You can adjust the privacy settings of your profile at any time, under the Settings tab located within the platform.
- We may provide the information to trusted partners who work on behalf or with Kintuition under confidentiality agreements. These companies may use your personal information to help us communicate with you.
- We may share information with the relevant authorities in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of Gradkin’s Terms of Business, or as otherwise required by law.
- We may transfer information about you if Gradkin is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, Kintuition will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
Cookies
- Gradkin may set and access Gradkin cookies on your computer.
- These cookies are used to facilitate your interaction with us by making it easier for you to log on onto our website, for us to monitor traffic as well as personalise content of the site for you. We may also use the cookies to tailor advertisements to your preferences. You understand that you may reject cookies but this may mean that certain features of the site will no longer be available to you.
Accessing and updating personal information
- In the event that you need to access or update your personal information, you may do so through our website.
- We will ask individual users to identify themselves and the information requested to be accessed, corrected or removed before we process such requests. We may decline to process requests that are unreasonably repetitive, infringe on the privacy of others, or would be impractical for us to deliver.
